What is SilverBack®?
SilverBack® is a four-layered silver and white reinforced crawl space liner. The outer layers consist of a high-strength polyethylene film containing UV and thermal stabilizers to enhance its durability. Each individual layer of the SilverBack® crawl space liner is laminated together with molten polyethylene to prevent de-lamination.
The Difference in Design
The SilverBack® crawl space liner comes in two different forms, String Reinforced (SR) and High Strength™ (HS). Both are made with pure polyethylene and contain no unnecessary additives. Both of these crawl space liners are offered in 12 Mil and 20 Mil thicknesses. The SilverBack® crawl space liner has a glossy white facing and a silver back.
String Reinforced SilverBack® SR crawl space liner is reinforced with a polyester cord. This reinforcement cord is molten in place with a layer of pure polyethylene. This reinforcement layer gives the SilverBack® a diamond shaped pattern. This unique process makes this crawl space liner extremely tear resistant, waterproof, and incredibly dependable.
The High Strength™ SilverBack® HS crawl space liner is designed with pure polyethylene ribbons that are cross-woven. This features gives the liner added strength. And this crawl space liner is seamless with no welds or panels. In addition, 100% of the surface area is protected by reinforcements made from strengthened polyethylene. The HS has an even greater tear and puncture strength than the string reinforced option.
